Battle Strikers Review

The Battle Strikers Tournament Set gives you a new dimension to the classic game of spinning tops. You should get the Battle Strikers Tournament set that includes everything for two players to start the battles: 2 tops, 2 launchers, the arena and 2 controllers.

There are 4 magnets which are controlled with the magnetic controller by you. In order for the spinning to start you put the top on the launcher you pull the trigger and off they go.

You hit the top of the launcher so that the battle strikers will get into the arena. The strikers can spin very fast so it is advisable that you place the arena on a flat surface like a carpet so that the strikers will not hit hard on the surfaces.

You can buy the arena which is sold separately and it is made of thin plastic. So, be careful not to step on it because it will be damaged. With the tops it will be OK. You can place up to 6 tops on it.

The launchers, which is the only way to spin the tops, take 3 AA batteries. There is no cord since they are made with new techniques.

Sometimes they spin the tops in a ‘relaxed’ way while some other times they spin very fast. This has nothing to do with the tops though.

You can modify the tops in your way. How you alter them changes their ratings in defence, attack and control. They are made from six pieces each. The top is made from metal marble or a plastic spindle.

When they have marble they are more controlled and they don’t just spin anywhere. When it is made from plastic they spin in an angle and they rattle all over the arena. However, you can mix the tops and make them spin in the way you want.

You can control the tops by putting the controller on your finger. It has a magnet which magnetises the magnets on the top of the spinning tops.

Just like that you can make your top go as far or as close you want it to go towards the opponent’s tops. Your finger needs to be quite close to the top in order to guide it, so make sure that you don’t get it stuck to the magnet on the top.

You will actually feel the magnets spinning with the controller in your fingertips.

What you should know:

• The green top is usually the winner in the battles.


• When the tops spin fast you can actually get hurt.


• For younger children spinning the tops into the arena can be a bit challenging.


• If you try to get the spinning tops when the spin you will feel some real pain. You should better wait them.


• The game is very fun and especially with the magnets you will like once more the classic game.

• Children can use their imagination and play the game in different ways.



• The tops are quite cheap so children can collect them all.
